Excellent!
Of course if you say it in your best Arnie voice it becomes plainly obvious that this was no coincidence.
As for Arnie voices, I went with more of a Commando or Predator emotional Arnie than the Terminator. He did have amazing range as an actor, no?

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
As you know, back at the beginning of October I had my fourth hip surgery. During the operation they discovered a bacterial infection. So since October 6th, I have been on IV anti-biotics (Vancomycin) and have generally felt like shit. I have to take 1250mg, three times per day. This treatment will continue until November 17 and hopefully it will do the trick. I go back to see the "Infectious Disease Specialist" (doesn't that sound scary) on November 17 and will know more then.
Sometimes life really sucks you know?

that is one rough ride you have been on with those hips. definitely sending some positive energy your way to help rid that infection - that whole thing is REALLY unfair, no doubt at all. stay positive brother - lots of energy in this forum to help you get through this.

Was it MRSA? My friend who has MRSA made the mistake of going to Costa Rica and getting dental implants a few months ago. The dentist put a hole in her sinus cavity, and she ended up coming back with meningitis and now has an abscess on her spinal column. She has been getting vancomycin infusions and was getting metronidazole in the hospital.

It wasn't MRSA, but I do not recall the exact bacteria the doctor said it was and right now I don't feel like digging through all that paperwork to find the name.
The doctor did not have any indication where I may have picked this up - it could have even come with the original hip prosthetic that I got back it 2007.
The vancomycin infusions are a pain in the ass and they make me feel shitty, but if that is what kills the infection...
The alternative is NOT an option.

Dear Dogsinapile : hoping you get better soon ! It is so scarry to hear about your hip surgery . My doctor thinks i may have to do this hip surgery too ,but i stall constantly about this and in your opinion ,with your experience ,is it better or worse to get hip surgery done or not ?

Skies: ultimately it is a personal decision. In my case the decision was made for me since both hips deteriorated to the point of collapse. If you decide to go the surgery route, please be confident that your doctor is giving you the best advice available. Maybe get a second opinion prior to surgery (it made me more at ease). Also, follow all the doctor's instructions and be patient - it is a long and trying recovery. GOOD LUCK.

My wife had some health issues (nothing serious thank God) but certainly they took a toll on mood and attitude.
